Examiner Information

It was announced at the Parish Council Meeting July 3rd 2017 that an examiner had now been appointed.

The examiner cannot be approached directly and any queries concerning the Neighbourhood Plan should be directed to the Programme Officer at RVBC

The examiner has requested that the Clerk provide evidence based data on the choice of specific sites.

The Clerk has provided the following response to this request

Bolton by Bowland, Gisburn Forest & Sawley

 Parish Council

NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN

Date: 28th July 2017

The Examiner for the Neighbourhood Plan has contacted Ribble Valley Borough Council Programme Officer to request a clear timetable showing the Site Selection and Appraisal Process, including copies of support materials directly related to this matter; the specific reports relating to identifying and assessing sites and how the process was consulted upon.

Three sites  within Bolton by Bowland were taken from Ribble Valley Borough Council’s Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment. One of these was discarded, due to flood related issues. The remaining two sites were then allocated and the Examiner seeks the detail around this process.

Ribble Valley Programme Officer had previously explained to Parish Clerk that, should any request for supplementary information be requested by the Examiner, this should not be sent directly, but needs to be in a format within the public domain. The appropriate method is for collated information to be published on the Parish Council’s website www.tsbparish.org.uk and the link for the supplementary information be sent to Ribble Valley Borough Council Programme Officer, who will forward it to the Examiner.

This document therefore shows the timetable requested by the examiner, with a short description of the supporting documents. A link to each document is provided in the timetable.
